Open-call for International pitching in the Feature film and Vertical series categories

The open call for the international pitching of film projects within the XXII Kazan International Altyn Minbar is announced. The pitching is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, GBUK RT Tatarkino, and LLC Kinofest.

Pitching is a unique platform for filmmakers, which implies public presentation and defense of film projects (scripts or screenplay outlines) before the Expert Council.

The purpose of the event is to draw the attention of individuals or organizations that are interested in the project's implementation, in accordance with the timelines specified for each project.  The main task of pitching is to stimulate the development of joint film production with the Republic of Tatarstan in the regions of Russia, including the participation of foreign countries, discovering new names in the cinematography world, presenting new projects, searching for fresh ideas in cinema development, and creating a database of talented filmmakers from Russia and foreign countries.

Applications in English and Russian are accepted from citizens or a team of the Russian Federation and foreign countries, experienced in the field of film production, for no less than one feature film.

Citizens of the Russian Federation and other countries with experience in film production are invited to participate. Applications are accepted in Russian and English. The film festival's official website provides comprehensive information regarding project requirements and participation terms.

Works applied are considered in two categories:

Feature-length film (synopsis/feature-length film screenplay)

Vertical series (synopses/screenplays for a vertical series, with each episode lasting up to 2 minutes and a minimum of 20 episodes).

Co-production with the Republic of Tatarstan is obligatory.

The open call ends on August 1, 2026, at 23:59 Moscow time. For participation in pitching, you need to fill out the application form on the website: https://kazan-mfmk.com/en/pitch/ . The finalists’ project presentations will be held in person and online on 7–8 September 2026, at the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, located at 86 Pushkin Street, Kazan.

The total prize fund for the pitching is 500,000 (five hundred thousand) rubles, provided by the budget of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. In addition to the cash prize, winners may be offered project production and support with implementation, as well as valuable prizes and discounts on film-related services.
